After hours, one of our pediatricians is on-call for emergencies and urgent problems that can’t wait until the morning. Providing 24-hour emergency availability has been a cornerstone of our practice since its founding. We urge our patients with emergencies or urgent problems to call us first, day or night, at either office number (above). Because our line must be kept open (at night) for these purposes, we appreciate your cooperation in making calls about mild illnesses during regular, daytime hours.
From Monday to Friday, Ped•I•Care closes at 8:00 pm (5:00 pm on Saturdays and 4:00 pm on Sundays and holidays) and the office officially re-opens at 8:30 am (11:00 am on Sundays and holidays). During these night-time hours, you must call one of the main office numbers (above) first if you want a physician from our group to call you back. These calls will be taken by an answering system which can reach one of our physicians quickly. We try to return night-time calls immediately (they are almost always returned within 15 minutes).
Do not call a physician at home or on their cell phone. He or she may not be there, or may not be the one who is on call. Always call one of the office numbers, both of which are answered 24 hours a day.
