Pediatricians

Having been born in Paris, France, where his father was stationed in the Army, Dr. Burke moved to the United States at three months of age, when his parents returned to their roots in Massachusetts. In 1979, he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where for his thesis he did research related to atherosclerosis. While there, he also studied French, lived in a French-speaking house, and earned his private pilot's license.

In 1979, he made the trek cross-country to attend Stanford University School of Medicine in California. While still a fourth-year medical student, he was honored to have the Department of Pediatrics ask him to work as an acting intern in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. He received his M.D. in 1983, when he returned to the East Coast to do his internship and residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He is board certified in Pediatrics, having outscored 98 percent of those taking the board exam with him. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

In addition to his duties at Wildwood Pediatrics, Dr. Burke also enjoys being a clinical instructor in Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine. He has helped to develop guidelines for the in-patient treatment of children with asthma at Yale Children's Hospital. He has also worked in the Cystic Fibrosis clinic at Yale.

Having grown up in a household with a high school French instructor (his dad), Dr. Burke enjoys conversing in French with some of his patients. He admits to being rusty on some of the grammatical details, but likes the challenge.

When he is not busy being a pediatrician, Dr. Burke is happy to relax with his wife, Laurie, and two daughters, Arielle and Alanna. When he is off-duty he likes to travel, canoe, tinker with computers and read, read, read.

Dr. Condulis had the opportunity to join the ranks of Wildwood Pediatrics when Dr. Buebendorf retired after more than 35 years of practice. Dr. Condulis moved to southeastern Connecticut – a move that he and his family are so happy they have made.

A native of Long Island, Nico, as he is known, earned his B.S. degree in Biology and Magna Cum Laude honors in 1986 at the State University of New York (SUNY), Stony Brook, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his M.D. degree in 1990 at SUNY Health Science Center, Brooklyn. He subsequently became a resident in pediatrics at Yale Children’s Hospital, where his performance was so strong that he was given the Morris Krosnick Award by his fellow residents for caring, dedicated, and compassionate patient service. Upon completing his residency in 1993, he accepted Yale’s invitation to have him stay on for another year as a Chief Resident in Pediatrics.

As Chief Resident, Dr. Condulis held a joint appointment at the Yale University School of Medicine and Yale Children’s Hospital as associate instructor. His responsibilities were quite varied and included coordinating the rotations for the residents in training, organizing the conferences for the Department of Pediatrics, participating in Grand Rounds, facilitating the “move” into the new Children’s Hospital, teaching and supervising residents and medical students, etc.

Dr. Condulis enjoys the teaching aspect of hospital medicine. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and an Attending Physician at Yale Children’s Hospital. He was Board Certified in October 1995, and enjoys Fellow status of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Condulis enjoys all aspects of pediatric medicine and his specialty interests include gastroenterology, allergies and sports medicine (including concussion management). He has taken advanced training in the widely used concussion management program, IMPACT. Dr. Condulis is a member of the American Medical Association, the New Haven Pediatric Association, the Connecticut Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the New Haven Community Medical Group. He is also currently the Medical Advisor for the Old Saybrook Public Schools.

Dr. Condulis and his wife, Katie, enjoy their home in Old Saybrook with their three sons, James Nicholas, Jack Thomas, Nicholas Ryan and their daughter Juliette Margaret. After 15 years as a full-time mother, Katie has returned to the professional ranks and continues her career as a physical therapist in Essex.

After graduating with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in history from Moravian College in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Michelle chose to study for her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree. She attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. As an osteopathic physician, she not only learned the same principles and practices of medicine as an “MD,” but also had additional classes, labs, and rotations in Osteopathic Medicine. Physicians trained in osteopathy learn in-depth about the spine and musculoskeletal system, and gain skills in osteopathic manipulative therapies and modalities.

Dr. DiLorenzo was Board Certified in Pediatrics in 1996, and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics shortly thereafter. Her other professional affiliations include the American Medical Association, the Connecticut State Medical Society, and the New Haven Community Medical Group. An Attending Physician at the Children’s Hospital at Yale New Haven, she is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Yale University School of Medicine. Her special interests include autism, asthma and allergies, breastfeeding, gynecology, adolescent medicine, sports medicine, and complementary alternative therapies. She is active in the community, professionally participating in various panels and giving lectures, and has been on the Early Childhood Committee in Old Saybrook. She enjoys all aspects of pediatrics, especially the relationships she develops caring for families over the years. She prides herself on being kind, gentle, patient and having a sense of humor.

Michelle is married to Dr. Thomas Allen, a clinical psychologist with expertise in child and adolescent issues who practices in Essex. They are enjoying their son, Blair Michael and daughters, Lauren Virginia and Elizabeth Ann.

Born in Philadelphia, and raised near Princeton, New Jersey, Dr. Goff received his MD in 1974 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he was honored by his classmates with the Joel Gordon Miller Awards as the outstanding contributor to the class. He is a 1970 graduate of Yale, from which he received a B.A. in (child) psychology, and a 1966 graduate of the Lawrenceville School. He became Board certified in Pediatrics in 1980, and Board certified in Pediatric Endocrinology in 1983.

Dr. Goff is a member of many professional associations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics (with special memberships in the adolescent medicine, school health, and child abuse and neglect sections), the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society, the North American Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, the New England Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the Connecticut State Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. Kit, as he is known to colleagues and friends, is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Yale University School of Medicine, and an Attending Physician at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was a co-founder and co-director of Child Diagnostic Associates, a multidisciplinary team founded in 1983 to evaluate and counsel students with school problems.

Dr. Goff's publications include articles on learning disorders, Lyme Disease, Bell's Palsy, and sexual abuse. He has led seminars on a wide range of pediatric topics, including attention deficit disorder, growth disorders, and sexual abuse. He has served as an expert medical witness in both criminal and civil court cases, and is a reviewer for several national pediatric journals. He is a biographee in the publications Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.

Quite active in community affairs, Dr. Goff has served as Director of Health for Essex, Medical Advisor for the Essex Elementary School, Chairman of the Professional Advisory Committee and Medical Director of the Visiting Nurses of the Lower Valley, and a member of the Tri-Town sexual abuse prevention and substance abuse prevention task forces. In addition to officiating YMCA and United States Swimming, he has served as vice president and treasurer of the Cougar Aquatic Team, as well as president of the Marlins (competitive swimming) Parents Club. He has been leader/advisor for the youth ministry program at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Essex, where he has also been Senior Warden, vestryman, treasurer, lector, and search committee member. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Essex Ambulance Association, the Board of Directors for the Lower Valley Community Health Services, the Westbrook Sexual Abuse Prevention Task Force, and the Shoreline Child Protection Team.

Kit says his most important credential is that he is the happily married (to his wife of well over 40 years, Holly) father of three daughters, Heather, Rebecca and Abby – “Having kids sure does make you humble,” he comments.

In addition to sailboat racing, downhill skiing and golf, his hobbies include stamp collecting and computers. And the next time you are out ballroom dancing, keep your eye out for him, as he and Holly are often found whirling about on the dance floor!

Dr. McStay received her B.S. degree in Chemistry at the University of Connecticut in Storrs and earned summa cum laude, University Scholar, and Phi Beta Kappa honors. She attended medical school at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington. During her pediatric residency at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital, Dr. McStay led quality improvement iniatives at the hospital's primary care center and was selected as the Chair of the General Pediatrics Interest Group. She was also appointed senior editor of the resident educational handbook and looks forward to continuing to teach medical students and residents in the office and hospital settings. Upon graduation, Dr. McStay was named the Morris Y Krosnick, M.D. Award recipient by her colleagues. This is the highest honor given to a graduating resident awarded "to a person who exemplifies a caring, compassionate, and dedicated pediatrician and one we would want to care for our children".

As a pediatrician, Dr, McStay is privilleged to play a supportive role in the lives of growing patients, guiding families through challenges and advocating for children with complex medical needs. To connect with patients and their families, Dr. McStay uses a practical, family-centered approach grounded in compassion, empathy, and humor. Her special interests include adolescent medicine, obesity and nutrition, and asthma. Throughout her medical training, Dr. McStay has also been passionate about caring for underserved populations, volunteering her time and skills working with Connecticut's migrant farmer population and global health organizations in the Dominican Republic and Bolivia.

Dr. McStay is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Connecticut State Medical Society, and the New Haven County Medial Association.
