Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders

Dr. DiLorenzo has special interest in autism and its spectrum of disorders. She has a wide range of specialists she utilizes in the community to help address the child’s special needs. Many times she will function as the physician “team leader” for an autistic child, helping to organize and plan the child’s care.

Developmental Screening

Wildwood Pediatrics has always striven to provide the most up-to-date care for our patients. We have adopted the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations to formally screen our patients for developmental concerns starting at 9 months of age and continuing into the high school years. These questionnaires add to parental paperwork but enable us to care for our patients more completely. By alerting us to any concerns much earlier, we can follow up more thoroughly and refer sooner if needed.
