Because we have less staff available during these hours, you will reach a screening menu when you call in during Ped•I•Care evening, weekend or holiday hours. Never fear, you can still get through to the receptionist or on-call practitioner if you need them. But please listen to the prompts as they will get your call directed to the correct line most efficiently.
- If you need an appointment for that day or a future day, please choose the receptionist prompt. She will be happy to make an appointment for your child to be seen (you do not need special permission to do so).
- If you need a premium service (off-hours form, off-hours refill, etc.), also selecting the receptionist prompt will get you assistance. Or, if you have a question, she can direct the inquiry to the proper person.
- If you need to contact the on-call practitioner, please choose that prompt, and your call will be forwarded appropriately.
For services that are not always fully staffed off-hours (business office, prescription refill, breastfeeding "warm line," nurse care line), the prompts will take your call to where it will be most efficiently handled.
