Food Stamps (SNAP) and the Government Shutdown

Due to the ongoing goverment shutdown, as of November 1, 2025, SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program), or Food Stamps, as it is commonly known, will not be available. This may continue until Congress acts to reopen the government fully, or partially to fund critical programs for families.
