COVID-19 Testing
There are several options for testing that are available to you. It is likely your child will fall into one of the following scenerios:
1. If your child has not been exposed to household member with COVID-19 but is having symptoms consistent with COVID-19, you can call our office to make an in-office appointment. Your child can be examined and a sample for COVID-19 can be collected and delivered to Yale New Haven Hospital.
If your child's COVID-19 test is through the Yale system, you should create a "MyChart" for them on-line so that you can easily, and more quickly, access the results. The information to set this up can be found using the link: https://vimeo.com/505358700/43644dfcdc
The Yale MyChart Help Line number is: 475-246-8041, if needed.
It is advised to wait until the morning after the swab is done to set up a MyChart account so the laboratory has time to enter your child's information into their system.
The results in "MyChart" will likely be available to you within 24 hours or less. Our office does not receive the results from Yale for 48 hours, so please do not call our office before that time as we will not have the results.
2. If you would like to have your child tested but not through our office you can:
- self schedule a test through the Yale system, for any aged child, by going to the following website: https://covidtesting2.ynhhs.org/
- CVS and Walgreens are performing testing on all children 3 years of age and older, or you can schedule a test through the Yale system (as in section 2 above). Please call or visit their respective websites for details.
3. COVID-19 ONLY testing is no longer available in our offices at this time.
