From our Lactation Nurses: Breast Milk Bank opens

The state's first and only Breast Milk Depot is open in Guilford.  The depot is located at Acelleron Medical Products on Boston Post Road in Guilford and it opened on February 25, 2016.  Mthers can drop off milk at the depot to be shipped to the non-profit Mother's Milk Bank Northeast (MMBNE), which then processes the milk and distributes to hospitals.

Currently, MMBNE sends milk to more then 600 hospitals and families in the Northeast, including Connecticut Children's Medical Center, St. Francis Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospital.
